THE POWER OF STUDYING
A philosopher said that “It is the study you do after your school days that really matters or else you will fail to know what other people know”. The secret of genius is embedded in knowledge. They know more than what other know that is why they have an edge over other .
Genius are studious they don’t only read but they also study. They have an idea of what the answer to a question is. In other word,genius have an edge over their equal.I said in one of my quotes that “you will always be equal to your equal until you prove to your equal that you are unequal to them”.
As young people we have enough time to study. Abraham Lincoln wrote to in His letter to His sons teacher that “Do not follow the crowd when everybody is getting on the band wagon”. You are created to be unique.Reading has levels and grades. Before getting to the stage of studying,the following stages must have been passed through.
1) DESIRE STAGE: This is when a reader has a burning desire to study,if you are not interested in what you want to read your ability to decipher and interpret the information will be futile.
2) READING STAGE:This is when you read the book you are interested in.
3) MEDITATING STAGE:It involves the use of mind. It require the connection of your eyes to your mind in other to have a perfect understanding of what you are reading.
4) UNDERSTANDING STAGE:This is the process of the reader to be able to decode the encoded message and interpret it.
“Show me a sound student and i will show you a studious student,show me a studious student and i will show you a genius,show me genius and i will show you a gem” try to cultivate the habit of studying.If you study most genius,they can play with you to any length but they don’t joke with their studies.Have you ever think of this “You are born the same way as those you think are far better than you and have the same 24 hours with those in the same level with you. You are taught by the same set of people” Don’t engage in unnecessary activities.
Sacrifice is needed in studying that even lecturers engage in rigorous study before they go to class. The students love the lecturer to come with something new in a new dimension but without study they will not have the boldness to deliver the lecture thereby becoming a subject of ridicule. Ben Carson(One of my admirers) whose foundation of success began roughly who in His 13th grade began to record immense achievement.The moment He was tired of being discriminated and yielded to His Mums advice,He was enrolled to the genius club and began to record 00% in His exams.The invitation is going to you now,it is better you join before its too late and if you happen to be one You can be the best of all. After all Ben Carson started with just two books which He borrowed from the library and He eventually became the greatest Neurosurgeon of all time.
You can do better if you devote your time into studying like Chimuan Yan Egwuchukwu Aroma (The one time winner of the 10 million naira in who wants to be a millionaire show),When He was asked what His reading pattern was like,the gentleman said “I read everything that comes my way except Novels and my Television habit is poor except for News,Documentaries and sport” He was an addicted reader and sacrifice earned Him 10 million naira. Hon Patrick Obahiagbon(Former member of the National Assembly and Chief of Staff of Edo state was asked the reason He speaks so much vocabulary and He said “I read the Dictionary for 10 hours per day”. According to Bishop David Oyedepo “If you discover,you will recover”.
In conclusion,Studying does not kill, it only improves and refines you,don’t read amiss. Read the right thing at the right time in the right place. Wen you do this,you will get to the peak of your career.
